New to the office?

What to do when you step up as the new exchequer  (or any office for that matter)

Fill in the change of officer form. Have it signed by members of the group including your Seneschal and Baron & Baroness if applicable. 

Email the form to the Principality  Exchequer (exchequer@avacal-sca.org) with copies of your membership card and photo id*.

In the text of the email include -

Mundane Name:
Membership Number:  
Expiry Date:
Date took office:
Email Address: Phone number:
Mailing Address:

I know these will be on the attachments but this will make it easier to copy it to the warrant list. 

I will then send you a reply with your warrant end date.

As the officer it is your responsibility to send in your information. If you have someone else do it please asked to be included on the email so you know it's done. Email is the preferred method.

*only exchequers and seneschals are required to send in a photo id - just the front part and you can black out any sensitive info if you want.

An update sorta...

1.Unfortunately, I haven't heard back regarding the banking issues yet. I continue to ask, creating quite a pest of myself really but you will all hear as soon as I do.

2. I have updated the Avacal Exchequer's webpage. It now include the links to the most recent reports that we must use. If there is anything else you'd like to see there please drop me a note.

3. The end of September marks the end of a reporting quarter. Your reports are due to me on Nov 1. There is a handy sheet on the Avacal Exchequers page that you can print of an hang by your computer to help you remember. I would like all of these new reports done up cumulative so this report should cover January - Sept. If you need to change it over from sequential I suggest you start sooner rather than later. The benefit to doing it this way is you don't have to start over for your doomsday and it makes my report where I have to consolidate all your information much easier.

4. I am still trying to work out when, where and how, we will do training. Since I travel for my job it's often hard to plan a separate trip (or even an extended trip tagged on to work) ahead of time. I am still setting up work trips for the fall and once that's in place we will look at training dates.

5. We will be working on Financial policies this fall.

New exchequer, New blog....

Hi y'all,

I have taken over for Don Raoul as Avacal's Exchequer. I think he started a very good thing with his blog at http://avacal-exchequers.blogspot.com to help get the word out about the various going ons . So since the office had its own email (avacalexchequer@gmail.com along with exchequer@avacal-sca.org) I thought I'd use that to create the next blog generation. Rumor is google is getting rid of Blogger but we'll try to keep it going as long as possible.

Feel free to post questions, comments, hints, anything really.
